Good Dryer But Why No Light?

I purchased this LG dryer and a paired washer from Costco to replace 20-year old appliances.in a vacation home. Although the old appliances never gave me any problems were starting to make noises were rusting. Ive had them for 3 weeks now and have done a number of loads of laundry with everything working out fine. The one odd thing is I was surprised theres no light in the dryer Every dryer Ive owned in the past 40 years has had a built in light and I was surprised this one didnt.

Disappointing LG Gas Dryer

Our LG gas dryer was great. Until it wasnt. After only 1.5 years the electronics malfunctioned as the dryer could not be shut off without pulling out the plug. LG would not do anything for us as the dryer was a few months past its 12 month warranty. So we had to pay over $300 to have an appliance repair technician replace the circuit board. We bought an LG dryer specifically for its reputation for quality and reliability. Nobody expects an appliance to fail shortly out of warranty. Shame on LG for not offering any assistance with the repair cost.

Dryer broke within 8 months of purchase with very limited use ~once/week. Technician came to house couldnt fix it first time had to wait another week. When he did show was late talked constantly on personal call the entire time he was there. Loving the large capacity and various settings

I like that the dryer has a number of settings. It also has a count down feature for the cycle. The sensor drying feature has worked well. I have noted the countdown jumping up because the dryer senses the clothes are still damp. I was glad the door could be switched. It makes moving the clothes from the washer to the dryer much easier. The lint filter is easy to clean there is also a feature to remind you to clean the filter. I clean mine after each load but in case I forget the reminder is there.

The installation threw Best Buy installed with wrong gas line. One year later the issues started. Stopped heating. LG said I should get the gas company out first. They changed gas line you installed saying it was illegal. I had to pay $69 for that. Then waited 2 weeks for part. Its only 1 year old. The gas line you installed was full of gunk that he put into a connection to make it fit. Not a happy camper. I have proof of everything. I should be reimbursed for that cost. Still under .

I bought this dryer 6 months ago and it stopped drying as well then started releasing carbon monoxide according to my gas service. Put in a call first thing Thursday morning December 28th. Saturday I got a text saying that I can wait 7-10 business days for them to deliver a new one or I could buy a replacement and wait 2-3 weeks to receive money back. I replied immediately and got no replies back. Ive called every day except Sunday and New Years Day and still no luck getting this resolved. No one at customer support can do anything for me. Tried emailing last week to corporate but no email back. Tried messaging on Facebook and got no help from them but was told to keep waiting. So here I am 11 days later still with no dryer and no end in sight. Dryer lasted 6 months. Customer support for product is even worse than the dryer itself. Absolutely disgusted.

Frustrated Beyond Belief

I paid $1700 for a new LG washer/dryer which was installed on 10/3/23. The dryer broke on 12/21/23. It was required that I first have Duke Energy come to the house to verify that it was not their problem. Duke was very responsive came out immediately and I sent the required documentation to LG that morning. LG then said they didnt have any service techs working until after Christmas even though it was just Thursday the 21st. A tech finally came on 12/27 and of course they dont carry parts on their trucks which then had to be ordered. Even though I received the part in the mail early in the day on 12/29 and immediately communicated that to the tech he wouldnt acknowledge my text or voice mail. He finally returned on 1/2/24. Bottom line is we had to be without our new dryer for almost 2 weeks due to product failure no parts carried on repair trucks and extremely slow tech response.

Appreciate the size if dryer..but there is NO LIGHT IN THE DRUM AREA. So I can see what is in the drying unless I get a flashlight???? And theres no setting for a fluff cycle? So if I cant get stuff out right away I have to rewatch clothes and dry again. Wrinkles are bad.

pain to convert to propane

Absolutely terrible design for those who need to convert to propane. Any gas dryer should be designed in such a way that it is easily converted between LP and NG. This design makes the conversion an absolute pain. I would not repurchase for this reason alone.

I bought this dryer and matching washer because it got a high score on Consumer Reports. For the most part it works well. One super large load was a little damp at the end of a cycle but there may have been too many clothes in there at once. I also noticed some of the settings do not let you change the temperature or time. The salesman for your product stated that the gas connection was 1/2 inch FIP and recommended 1/2 inch flexible tubing that would fit directly onto the 1/2 inch FIP dryer connection.I purchased both. After a lot of visits to the hardware I finally discovered your gas connection was a 3/8 inch FIP and the flexible tubing was flared fitting not FIP.The dryer was delivered with 1/2 inch connections extra hardware. So I purchased 3/8 inch FIP to 3/8 and a 3/8 inch flared flexible tubing which was the connection in my home gas line. The store clearly states they will not connect copper tubing which is O.K. as most installers are young and incompetent anyway. The dryer had a high pitch chirp at first which I discovered was not your dryer but the flexible line tubing. Corrected by repositioning the dryer.

I did not want to give up my twenty-years-old Mayteg washer and drier but my husband was worried about these old gas appliances catching fire or dropping water all over our basement so he bought the LG washer and drier. At first I was upset but then I realized that they were easy to use had large capacity and they looked great. LG Dryer

I bought this dryer about 4 weeks ago and it replaced the dryer I had for 16 years. I found the LG dryer to very easy to operate and read the manual and became very familiar with all the settings. It does a fantastic job of drying my clothes whites colored and beddings. I am very happy with my LG Dryer. Thank you.

Bought a few weeks ago and love so far Dries good and Nice features. Only downfall was delivery took over 2 weeks but other than that great experience.
