I haven't had a chance to use all the features yet (only installed a week ago) but I love the color of my new microwave (to match the refrigerator). Opening and closing the door seems a bit stiff and loud compared to my last microwave - will take some getting used to.

I love this microwave but my only problem is the counter/surface light went out after a year. I pulled the single bulb out and can't seem to find one anywhere. You mention a cite to get them but it says "not available". Can you please tell me the part # and where I can get a suitable replacement, tired of cooking in the dark.

5 stars for how product works when it is working and for appearance. 2 stars because two failed in 6 years (we bought again only to match other appliances, otherwise would switch brands).
Also, mounting hole and bracket locations/style have changed despite ordering exact replacement model number, so took more drilling/repositioning than expected for an exact replacement.

I purchased this model plus the spacer kit. It fills my area completely. The oven has good space, the turntable is higher than some in the past. It is quiet and cooks and defrosts perfect ly.

This is our 3rd of these same model microwaves since 2017. To say it's disappointing to have to have replaced 2 in a 5 year period is an understatement. It matches all our GE appliances and so I hesitate to try and find a different model. The first replacement was covered under warranty, but this second one cost us the expense of a repairman to diagnose and then tell us to fix and reinstall was going to be more than a new microwave. Overall, my kitchen appliances that were all part of this group are good, and hopefully 3rd times a charm with this one.

We bought this microwave with our stove and refrigerator as a set. This the 3rd one we had to buy so it matched our other appliances. Thought GE was a good product but we are very disappointed. We've fixed the fan in the freezer 2 times also.

While planning our kitchen remodel, I was determined to integrate an over the range microwave to save counter space. This turned out wonderfully! It's self venting and very powerful. The multiple reheat settings, beverage reheat setting and popcorn button never disappoint!

We've had this microwave for about 2 years and the door handle recently broke. It'll cost us $120 for a service call from GE and the actual handle costs $160. Looking at other peoples reviews now, I would've never bought this so that's why I'm writing this. Do not buy this microwave. Do not buy GE products since they seem to know this cheap plastic door handle has been problematic for consumers and they don't care.

This is a nice microwave. Love the button features. Seems to evenly warm up leftovers. It's terrible at melting cheese when we're making nachos. Totally a weird thing compared to the microwave it replaced. It's also kinda goes crazy when popping popcorn. Don't try to do more than one bag every five minutes because it will just give up. You can put a second bag in there, and it will run-but it won't pop. Then the vent turns itself on just to add more drama to the confusing situation. It's so strange. It seems like popping a few bags should be a pretty basic function.

We purchased this microwave in the Fall of 2017 and within the first few years, the handle broke off. We bought a replacement handle (which was $120) and the handle broke off AGAIN! This is beyond frustrating! The parts are clearly very poorly made. I would not recommend GE products to anyone.

Had to have the installers come back to check the fan. They said there was something blocking after the first improper install. Well ... Left vent fan better then right. If your cooking on front burners nothing gets sucked up. Not the best. Could it be the install again.???? We had the Professionals. The wave itself is ok seems a little slow but liveable

We like the product it works fine. We had two GE microwave before this is our third. We got about 17 years out of them. We have one big compliant the lightbulbs are very hard to replace. We had to move the oven to replace the bulb and the prongs on it bended very easy. We gave up!

Our previous GE JVM6175EFES no longer operated properly as of 1/1/2022, it was 5 years old. The replacement that we purchased was this model, JVM6175EKES. When this new microwave was delivered, there was no GE logo or anything that would identify it as a GE product on the box. The box label read, "Over the range Microwave oven". Sadly, this microwave is built cheaply and looks that way too. I removed the circular medal GE emblem logo from the broken microwave and added to this new one, bc even the logo looked cheap, maybe it isn't even a GE product? Disappointed customer.

We replace our 3-year-old microwave with a model that had the control panel on the side instead of the door. Three service people told us that most of the current microwaves are not lasting as long as the old models. They notice a higher repair replacement in the units that have controls in the door as opposed to the side of the microwave. If you have a problem you have to replace the entire door, We bought this one due to the slate color matching the other three GE appliances installed in 2017. This unit has a lower investment cost. The unit has a good look with the other appliances, crisp design, and is easy to operate. Sensor buttons are stander popcorn Beverage, Reheat, etc Quick cook 1-9 and other features. So far it is exactly what we need. We got the warranty for $69 in case we need it. I would get a home warranty for everything in the kitchen and laundry as in today's world it seems repairs come more often than before. Typical service calls $80 to $110 plus labor/parts etc. Our experience with GE factory Service personnel was excellent and restored confidence in our purchasing decision. Back in the '60s, I worked for GE in Upstate NY @ their capacitor plants. I have confidence in GE's mission statement and the customer service is excellent.

Purchased this to match my GE range. Love the slate color! Microwave is pretty high-powered, heats my food/drink quickly. I love that it is a double-duty microwave/vent fan, so that I don't have to buy an additional appliance. One of my favorite features is the under-microwave light (2 settings), it's great for nighttime or early morning when I want to get up & make a cup of tea without turning on bright, overhead kitchen lights!
