Our old water heater lasted 17 years, so I™™m hoping this GE one does as well. We had it professionally installed. He said he had to set it to 102 degrees, which just wasn™™t hot enough . My husband bumped it up a few degrees. It seems well made.

Visual quality of water heater is excellent. Just two days in usage, just had to up the thermostat(s) temperature up a bit to deliver hotter water for longer periods of time. The water temperature adjustment seems pretty straight forward according to maintenance manual. Very Happy with the water heater so far.

I had GE water heater for 25 years. Quite old device. It still worked but I decided to get a new one before the old one stop working in the middle of winter or so. I hope that new products by GE are as good as 25 years old products.

This review is not for public viewing. Our unit was installed 2 years ago. The installation was fine but and it worked fine until Wednesday. Apparently a power surge fried one of the internal wires and it no longer gets the full power supply. Perhaps consider heavier gauge wire from the top down to the first internal safety breaker.

50 gal heater just installed 4/24/25. So far so good. Heavy duty for sure. Once finally installed (by one service tech mind you) it was easy to complete installation. He had to switch out the two elements & install 4500 watt because the original elements had too much power & would blow circuits. This is the way the 50 gallon are manufactured. Didn't add but maybe 10 minutes more for the install but seemed like extra work. Time will tell on operation so for now all is good

My GE heater started to act up after 15 years. With 3 woman and myself in the house cold showers and short lived hot water was not an option. Swapped this Hot water Heater out had like warm water on the factory setting turned up the temperature now have Perfect Hot water and have yet to run out. Great replacement for my previous GE.

Installed a week ago and because there is only one thermostat mid tank it seems like there is warm water then cooler water and then hot water. Raised the temperature to 130 perhaps to keep it more even. Different than pictured in ads with two thermostats.

This is bad product. It was installed on 17th. It should have HOT water within 24 hrs. It is now the 24th and we have slightly warm, 106 degree water. It has been turned from 120 degrees to 130 degrees and then the temperature went down to 102 degrees. This is not what we expected. Our installer seemed to know what he was doing. Connected hot pipe to hot, cold to cold pipe. Wired it and it should work But it does not! I requested an AO Smith but he could not find the size we wanted and suggested this GE. Wish I had listened to myself!
